New Local Testing Site Now Open
The Westport Weston Health District is pleased to report that an additional COVID-19 drive through testing site is now open in Westport. Mark Cooper, Health Director, notes that this site will be a convenient, local option for residents that will enable a higher number of people to be tested each day. Expanded testing options like this one will help to better manage the spread of disease, as many patients can be positive without ever having experienced symptoms. Additionally, it is no longer required to be symptomatic to qualify for testing, but appointments are required. The telephone number to pre-register is 1-860-972-8100.
The site will be staffed and operated by St. Vincent’s personnel.
