Home Safety Assessments This is a free service offered to residents. A member of the Health District staff will visit your home to determine if any safety concerns exist. Some of the items on the checklist include: lighting, flooring, footwear, fire protection, stairways, and water temperature. At the completion of the visit, the homeowner is given a copy of the completed home safety and risk assessment with the findings and any recommendations.
