Travel Immunization Program Aspetuck Health District offers a Travel Immunization Program for clients who require vaccination for travel abroad. Staff can provide consultations about travel vaccine needs. AHD is an authorized Yellow Fever Center and can provide travelers with the Certificate of Yellow Fever Vaccination, which is required to enter some countries.  Malaria prescriptions are also available.

  • Japanese Encephalitis
  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • TICOVAC
  • Yellow Fever

The vaccine fee schedule is noted in our Travel Packet and prices are subject to change. See fee schedule here. Fees payable by cash, MasterCard/Visa or check. If an appointment is cancelled, the cancellation must be made within 24 hours, or an office visit charge will be issued. It’s best to get vaccines at least a month before your trip, so it’s important to book your appointment in advance.

Sexually Transmitted Infection/HIV Testing Open to all regardless of age or residence. Confidential testing available. $20. Screening available for Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, and HIV.
Annual Flu Vaccinations Standard dose (ages 3+), high dose, and intranasal flu vaccine are available. Call to schedule an appointment. 203.227.9571 ext 235.

Cost:

Children – $21, no cost with Medicaid/HUSKY

Adults – We accept Medicare (original, Part B) and Medicaid.  We do not accept managed Medicare plans.  All others, cost is $52 for standard and $96 for high dose.

Routine Immunizations
Routine immunizations and vaccine boosters are available for adults and children.
Home Safety Assessments This is a free service offered to residents. A member of the Health District staff will visit your home to determine if any safety concerns exist. Some of the items on the checklist include: lighting, flooring, footwear, fire protection, stairways, and water temperature. At the completion of the visit, the homeowner is given a copy of the completed home safety and risk assessment with the findings and any recommendations.
