The report that is issued each Monday contains combined data that was collected on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This schedule will remain in effect until further notice. Therefore, there will not be updates over the weekend.
The Health District’s efforts are focusing on the response to Tuesday’s storm and trying to make sure the public has access to important safety information.

Don’t Hesitate to Vaccinate
According to a May 2020 report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there was a dramatic drop in routine childhood vaccinations during the time that families were staying home during the pandemic. While public health warnings were followed, unfortunately many people put off health screenings, well visits, and vaccinations. The CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics recommend that every child continues to receive routine vaccinations during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Vaccines help to protect children from diseases like measles, chicken pox, and whooping cough. Annual checkups and vaccines are essential services and it is important that children stay on track with their vaccination schedules. Health providers and medical offices can safely offer these essential services despite the virus. The use of face coverings, staggered schedules, revamped waiting areas, and stepped-up disinfection protocols are some of the ways medical offices are helping to keep patients safe during their visit. Call your health care provider’s office to schedule you child’s next appointment and to learn more about their COVID-19 protocols.
Speak with your health care provider about the vaccines your child may need. The CDC also developed an easy to read reference guide for parents.
